Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Gatlinburg, TN is seeking a program & studio manager to participate in the development and implementation of educational programs.
Position Description
Title: Program & Studio Manager
Reports to: Director of Programs
Supervises: Studio and Facilities Technician, Woodshop and Studio Technician, and Seasonal Studio Assistants & Work-Study Students.
Anticipated Start Date: May 11, 2016
Position Summary
The Program & Studio Manager participates in the development and implementation of educational programs to achieve the mission of the school. He/she has responsibility for the coordination of specific programs and works with other employees on the organization, safety, and functionality of all studios. The position manages full-time, part-time and contract employees including work-study students and studio assistants, works closely with other members of the staff, and reports to the Director of Programs. The position is full-time, year-round, salaried, benefits eligible, and exempt.
The Program & Studio Manager serves as part of the School’s programming logistics team—a self-directed team with the collaborative responsibility of ensuring that all Arrowmont programs and activities run effectively and efficiently. Each member of the team is expected to perform both managerial and hands-on work assignments.
