The Alfred Clay Collective is excited to welcome Matt Wedel to Alfred University. During his visit to Alfred he will be having studio visits with students, giving a public lecture, and making work.
Matt Wedel is a sculptor currently working with mythology and landscape in the medium of ceramics. Born in Palisade, Colorado, he currently lives and works in Athens, Ohio. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and then obtained a Master's degree in Ceramics from California State University.
