It gives me great pleasure to announce to you that Mr. Matt Kelleher has accepted the faculty position in Ceramic Art with an emphasis on functional pottery in the School of Art and Design. Matt is very enthusiastic to be joining us at Alfred University.
Matt received a Masters of Fine Arts degree in ceramics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a MA degree in printmaking from the University of Northern Iowa, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute. His professional experience spans more than fifteen years as a studio artist. He has exhibited his work in well over two hundred exhibitions. His work has been recognized by numerous grants, awards and residencies, including residencies at the Archie Bray Foundation, Penland School of Crafts and at the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park in Japan. He has taught at several universities including Alfred University, Appalachian State University, Hartford Art School, and The Ohio State University.
