The Cohen Gallery at Alfred University will be exhibiting, "Calibrating Color: The Visible Spectrum and the Ceramic Surface", April 9- May 8, 2015.
With each artist focused on a particular hue, this exhibition celebrates ceramics as a site for the phenomena of color. Curated from their book, Glaze: The Ultimate Ceramic Artist’s Guide to Glaze and Color, by Brian Taylor and Kate Doody. The exhibition is supported in part by the Division of Ceramics.
We are excited to have the opportunity to show the work of 18 ceramic artists which were initially included in the book: Adam Field, Bobby Silverman, Daniel Bare, David Hicks, Giselle Hicks, Joe Pintz, Katie Parker & Guy M. Davis, Kristin Kieffer, Linda Lopez, Linda Swanson, Marc Digeros, Matt Wedel, Rain Harris, Rebecca Chappell, Sam Chung, Shannon Goff, Sunshine Cobb, and Thaddeus Erdahl.
